   Cut the sponge

   Small pieces, torn edges. Torn is better than straight here.

   Dip and dab

   Press the sponge in the paint, then dab it on the paper.

   Build the cloud

   Three dabs together: a big one and two small ones.

   Fill the sky

   Clouds everywhere, big and small, near and far.
